About the role

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and technically strong Cloud Operations & Automation Support Engineer to support provisioning platforms and automation workflows. The role involves troubleshooting complex build failures, supporting configuration management tools, and ensuring smooth execution of provisioning and decommissioning processes in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot provisioning and build failures across workflows such as** VPCx, OPCx, and database platforms**

  • Perform end-to-end issue analysis and resolution for provisioning and decommissioning workflows to ensure minimal business disruption

  • Create, manage, and track Incidents / i Tasks in Service Now when support from dependent teams (e.g., IRIS, VPCx) is required

  • Support OS teams (Linux & Windows) in resolving Chef-related issues, including:

  • Unhealthy Chef clients

  • Errors or exceptions during Chef runs

  • Data bag-related issues

  • Troubleshoot Jenkins pipeline failures by analyzing logs and providing resolution support to requestors via email or support channels

  • Escalate critical and recurring issues via** JIRA** or appropriate escalation mechanisms to ensure timely resolution

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure stability and efficiency of automation workflows

Skill Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Chef (configuration management and troubleshooting)

  • Strong understanding of provisioning workflows:

  • VPCx, OPCx, DB platforms

  • Good knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms:

  • AWS and/or Azure

  • Experience with Jenkins and pipeline troubleshooting

  • Exposure to workflow orchestration tools such as Harmonize / CloudX

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work effectively in a production support environment
