About the role

Job Summary

  • This role is responsible for expert-level oversight and strategic leadership of vulnerability management operations within OT/ICS and IIoT environments. The position drives continuous improvement, ensures robust risk mitigation, and empowers teams to meet client expectations for large-scale, complex projects. They play a critical role in advancing operational excellence, fostering innovation, and ensuring secure, compliant, and resilient industrial systems.The Senior Information Security Administrator reporting to the Director of Information Security supports (Hypertherm) and advances the enterprise information security program by helping manage cyber risk, security governance, and security awareness across the organization. This role partners closely with IT and various business teams to embed security into daily operations, projects, and technology decisions.As a Senior Information Security Administrator you will design, build, and operate security controls that protect Hypertherm’s endpoints and enterprise systems. You will help establish hardened, standardized, and measurable endpoint security processes that reduce risk while not only preserving productivity, but enhancing it. You will partner closely with IT and various business teams to deliver ‘secure by default and ‘secure by design’ experiences.This role blends hands on with system level security ownership in a modern manufacturing SaaS cloud environment. This role operates with greater independence, leads security initiatives, mentors other team members, and plays a key role in shaping enterprise security strategy, standards, and metrics Education • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study preferred • Advanced active certification in a cybersecurity or information security discipline, such as CISSP, CEH, CISA CRISC or CISM preferred Work Experience • 7+ years of Information Technology security experience. Proficient in IT Security tools such as vulnerability management, endpoint detection and response, SIEM/SOC, Email Secure Gateway, Web filtering, Third party risk management, Cloud security • Must possess the ability to be proactive and identify, define, and analyze complex data security issues and to recommend and implement solutions.
  • Exhibit high degree of initiative and independent judgment with demonstrated troubleshooting, follow-through, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, and consistently changing work environment with the ability to make decisions based on research results.
  • Advanced analytical and technical skills and demonstrate an aptitude for detail, precision, and logic with comprehensive knowledge of Cybersecurity administration.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with courtesy and diplomacy.
  • Ability to translate cyber risk-based analysis to business impact in communication.
  • Excellent organizational skills including record keeping, data collection, and system information.
  • Ability to conduct detailed analysis of security events and evidence, compile and analyze data, and to furnish information in report format, written correspondence, email, or verbally.
  • Comfort working across teams to deliver secure outcomes without friction.
  • Experience building consensus and support for projects or initiatives.
  • Ability to translate security policy into automated, enforceable controls.
  • Proficient with native cloud security (preferably Azure) solutions.
  • Growth mindset and eagerness to learn across engineering and security domains.

Supports all aspects of the Information Security:

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead vulnerability management operations using OT/ICS/IIoT security tools to identify, assess, and prioritize vulnerabilities in complex industrial environments, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  2. Oversee end-to-end remediation processes by coordinating with internal teams and leveraging vulnerability management platforms to ensure timely resolution and minimize operational risk.

  3. Develop and implement advanced operational processes using vulnerability assessment technologies to optimize workflow efficiency, reporting, and compliance within the OT/ICS security domain.

  4. Provide expert guidance and mentorship to the vulnerability management team, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous upskilling in the use of OT/ICS security solutions.

  5. Drive innovation by evaluating and integrating emerging security tools, methodologies, and automation into vulnerability management processes to enhance detection and response capabilities.

  6. Ensure client requirements are thoroughly understood and met by translating business needs into actionable security solutions within OT/ICS/IIoT environments.

  7. Deliver comprehensive management reporting and actionable insights using vulnerability analytics platforms, supporting organizational planning and informed decision-making.

Skill Requirements

  1. Excellent Understanding Of Industrial Network Protocols, Asset Discovery, And Risk Assessment Methodologies.

  2. Advanced Proficiency In Implementing Vulnerability Scanning, Risk Prioritization, And Patch Management Within Ot/Ics Environments.

  3. Excellent Skills In Incident Response, Remediation Coordination, And Compliance Reporting Specific To Industrial Systems.

  4. Strong Knowledge Of Regulatory Frameworks And Standards For Ot/Ics Security (E.G., Iec 62443, Nerc Cip).

  5. Expert Ability To Lead Teams, Mentor Technical Staff, And Drive Continuous Process Improvement In Security Operations.

  1. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) � optional but valuable.

  2. Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) � optional but valuable.
