Track Manager - AzureMSSQL DBA, Microsoft Azure

Job Summary

This role drives operational excellence for large-scale database environments on Microsoft Azure, ensuring seamless management of MSSQL and MySQL platforms. The individual is responsible for strategic oversight of database operations, implementing process improvements, resolving complex issues, maintaining compliance with client SLAs, and empowering teams through expert technical guidance and mentorship. They play a pivotal role in delivering innovation, optimizing resource utilization, and supporting business objectives through robust data platform management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead operational management and performance optimization of Azure MSSQL and Azure MySQL databases, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance with client SLAs.

2. Implement advanced automation and monitoring solutions using Azure-native tools (such as Azure Monitor, Azure Automation, and Azure Security Center) to proactively identify and resolve database issues.

3. Direct incident, problem, and change management processes for critical database environments, leveraging expert knowledge of MSSQL and MySQL on Azure platforms.

4. Mentor and empower support teams in advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and best practices for operational excellence in cloud database management.

5. Collaborate with project stakeholders to translate complex client requirements into actionable solutions, driving innovation in database operations and process improvement.

6. Oversee database backup, disaster recovery, and data retention strategies using Azure Backup and related technologies, ensuring business continuity.

7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating emerging Azure database features and recommending their adoption to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

Skill Requirements

1. Excellent Knowledge Of Azure Iaas And Paas Database Deployment Models, Monitoring, And Management Tools.

2. Advanced Skills In Incident, Problem, And Change Management Within Cloud Database Environments.

3. Solid Experience With Database Backup, Disaster Recovery, And High Availability Strategies Using Azure Native Solutions.

4. Excellent Ability To Mentor Teams And Drive Innovation In Cloud Database Operations.

5. Strong Communication Skills For Translating Technical Requirements And Leading Operational Projects.
