The Senior Harness Designer plays a critical role in the development of high-quality harness designs that are aligned with project requirements and customer expectations. The Senior Designer is crucial in mentoring junior team members and facilitating effective communication across diverse teams to drive design success.
Job Description:
- Expertise in Creo schematic tool
- Creo schematic design and development.
- Creo schematic Library Development.
- Design of System Level Schematics and Interconnect.
- Electrical & Electronics component selections as per UL/SEMI safety standards.
- Cable, Wires, connectors, terminal, and other accessories selection.
- Knowledge of UL, SEMI S2, S8, S22 standards and Environmental standards ROHS
- Preference will be provided for SEMI domain experience.
- Facilitate internal and client meetings, tracking action items and ensuring accountability for project milestones.
- Work location Bangalore.
- Excellent in communication, presentation and writing skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate With Stakeholders To Gather And Refine Design Specifications, Utilizing Harness Design Software Tools To Create Precise Schematics And Electrical Layouts.
2. Develop Prototypes And Proof-Of-Concept Implementations Using Cad Software To Validate Design Decisions And Assess Performance Against Customer Needs.
3. Mentor Junior Designers And Provide Guidance On Harness Design Best Practices Through Training Sessions And Comprehensive Documentation.
4. Work With Cross-Functional Teams To Align Harness Design With Overall Project Goals, Ensuring Compatibility With Electrical Cabling And Power Distribution Systems.
5. Engage With Quality Assurance Teams To Establish And Uphold High-Quality Standards In Harness Design Deliverables, Ensuring Compliance With Industry Specifications.
Skill Requirements
1. Strong Understanding Of Harness Design Principles And Practices.
2. Proficiency In Cad Software For Creating Schematics And 3D Routing Designs.
3. Familiarity With Electrical Cabling And Power Distribution Systems.
4. Basic Knowledge Of Electro-Mechanical Packaging Considerations.
5. Experience In Developing Prototypes And Proof-Of-Concept Models.
Other Requirements
1. Optional But Valuable: Certified Harness Designer (Chd).
