About the role

Job Summary

Job Title: L2 Windows / GPO Engineer – M365 Migration (Offshore – Chennai)

1.Provide L2 support for Windows environment during Microsoft 365 (Teams T2T) migration

2.Manage and support Group Policy Objects (GPO) configuration and troubleshooting

3.Perform device hardening and baseline policy implementation as per target tenant standards

4.Support Azure AD Join / Hybrid Join and domain-related configurations

5.Ensure endpoint readiness and compliance prior to migration waves

6.Troubleshoot Windows OS issues impacting migration (login, profile, connectivity)

7.Support user profile management and local/roaming profile issues

8.Validate and deploy security policies, Bit Locker, and endpoint protection settings

9.Assist in Active Directory clean-up and synchronization readiness

10.Troubleshoot network, DNS, and authentication (Kerberos/NTLM) issues

11.Work closely with Intune / SCCM teams for device configuration and policy deployment

12.Support software packaging, deployment, and updates for migration readiness

13.Investigate performance issues on endpoints affecting migration tools and apps

14.Coordinate with migration SME and Deskside teams for issue resolution

15.Maintain system health checks and reporting dashboards

16.Document GPO changes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps

17.Support cutover activities and hypercare phase for Windows-related issues

18.Ensure compliance with organizational security and IT policies

19.Participate in migration war-room calls and provide status updates
