Senior Developer - 2D Drawing and Detailing

Job Summary

As a Senior Developer specializing in 2D Drawing and Detailing, you are is responsible for create/update components of Electromechanical system/subsystem and update drawings as per customer standards. Typically, items like machined, sheet metal parts, structural weldments, enclosure, and assemblies. and proficient in Solid Works for modelling and drawings.
Should be able to independently interact with onsite for design clarifications and concept design support. Responsible for planning and executing design activities as per client timelines.

Key Responsibilities

1.Strong proficiency in Solid Works, including expert-level skills in modeling, sheet metal and piping modules, assemblies, and drawing creation.
2.Hands-on experience in plastic and sheet metal design and modeling.
3.Practical experience with PLM tools, specifically Team Center/SAP.
4.Experience in concept generation, design, modeling, and GD&T application.
5.Exposure to Medical domain products is an added advantage.
6.Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Skill Requirements

1.Strong Experience in design of components with Solid Works, including various manufacturing processes like, Stamping, Molding & Machining.
2.Disciplined team lead, ability to work independently and handle team
3.Experience in Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing (GD&T)
4.Experience in Tolerance stack up analysis.
5.Proficient in Solid Works CAD software (Creating 3D models, Sheet Metal, 2D drawing and Assembly)
6.Strong knowledge in manufacturability considerations for Sheetmetal & Plastic
7.Create DFMEA and identify relevant product risks.
8.Identifying the suitable material, apply DFM/DFA concepts in design and Familiar with latest engineering design and methods, tools, and processes.
7.Experience with standard NPI / NPD process. Understanding of compliance requirements.
8.Hands on experience in Windchill PDM / PLM for managing lifecycle of the components.
9.Ability to present and articulate ideas to key stakeholders and leadership team.
10.Excellent communication skills and Positive ‘can do’ and proactive attitude.
11.Quality mindset in design and documentation.
