About the role

Job Summary

L1 Web Sphere Application Server (WAS) Support Engineer is responsible for first-level monitoring, basic troubleshooting, and operational support of Web Sphere environments, ensuring system availability and meeting SLA targets.

Key Responsibilities

24x7 Monitoring & Alerts Handling

  • Monitor Web Sphere servers, JVMs, and applications

  • Respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests

Incident Management (L1 Support)

  • Perform basic troubleshooting (service down, high CPU/memory, log errors)

  • Restart servers/services as per SOP

  • Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams
