DataStage Senior Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Developer in this role will be responsible for utilizing their expertise in IBM Infosphere Data Stage Suite, SQL, and Unix Shell Scripting to effectively develop, and implement data integration solutions. The primary focus will be on leveraging these technologies to enhance data management processes and ensure seamless data flow within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain scalable etl processes using ibm infosphere datastage suite to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.

2. Design and implement sql queries and scripts to manipulate and analyze data as per business requirements.

3. Create and optimize unix shell scripts to automate data integration tasks and streamline workflows.

4. Collaborate within team to understand data integration needs and provide technical solutions.

5. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data integration processes in a timely manner.

6. Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing best practices in data management and governance.

7. Participate in operational activities like monitoring

Skill Requirements

1. Strong knowledge of ibm infosphere datastage suite for etl development and administration.

2. Strong skills in sql for data manipulation and querying.

3. Experience with unix shell scripting for automation and scripting tasks.

4. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data integration techniques.

5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.

6. Analytical mindset with a problem-solving attitude to address complex data integration challenges.

7. Knowledge of itil process.

8. Understanding of azure devops to perform build and deploy.
