Senior Administrator - Hardware Asset Management

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Hardware Asset Manager (HAM) with hands-on expertise in Service Now HAM Pro. This role ensures the effective tracking, utilization, and lifecycle management of all hardware assets, including laptops, desktops and i Pads. This role focuses on operational support, data accuracy, issue resolution, and process improvement to ensure compliance, visibility, and cost optimization of hardware assets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Configure and manage Service Now HAM Pro, including stockrooms, dashboards, and mobile agents.

2. Maintain accurate asset records (e.g., serial numbers, purchase dates, asset tags).

3. Oversee asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal.

4. Integrate HAM Pro with systems like Microsoft Intune and procurement tools.

5. Conduct audits and troubleshoot data discrepancies.

6. Adequate training is provided to team members on process-oriented changes and update

7. Ensure compliance with ITIL and organizational policies

8. Define and continuously improve HAM policies, procedures, and workflows.

9. Collaborate with global IT and business teams to align hardware asset management practices.

10. Generate regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards for stakeholders and leadership

Skill Requirements

1. Ensure proper tagging, tracking, allocation, and disposal of all hardware assets.

2. Collaborate with IT, procurement, finance, and compliance teams to align asset management with business goals.

3. Maintain a centralized and accurate inventory of all hardware assets using tools like Service Now HAM Pro.

4. Ensure timely refresh, upgrades, and secure disposal of assets.

5. Reconciliation of the Assets vs Auto discovery tools (SCCM, Airwatch, JAMF) and vice versa.

6. Conduct regular meetings, present operational and compliance reports, and manage expectations.

7. Perform regular audits, reconciliations, and inventory checks to ensure asset data integrity and compliance.

8. Analyze asset data to identify trends, opportunities for cost optimization, and process improvements.
