About the role

Job Summary

The Technical Delivery Manager will be a key member of our Core & Heritage Application Development Team who are responsible for all Build, Test, Deployment and Early Live Support activity on our i Series Platform. The bank utilises this platform to manage Mortgages, Deposits and International Banking accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Project and/or Programme Build, Test and Early Life support activities to cost, schedule and scope. Establish and maintain an appropriate governance structures and effective communication processes with the Change and Technology Services Areas. Ensure the appropriate project management frameworks are in place, finishing the necessary reporting, control, and critical issue mechanisms Identify, maintain and bring up Delivery issues, risks, dependencies, and mitigations for all developments on the i Series platform. Maintain delivery change control within agreed processes Manage the delivery budget, monitoring and reporting the costs against a

Skill Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering significant build solutions or supporting complex applications on the technical platform with particular emphasis on Corporate and Markets preferred.

  • Demonstrable business value delivered from the build or support activities on the platform.

  • Track record

  • Demonstrable communication capability across team, leadership, and partners

  • Experience of working in a waterfall environment as well as experience in using agile methodologies as the Bank moves towards agile

  • Track record in managing Partner resources for onshore and offshore build, test, deployment and support activities.

  • Ability to use Lean and Six Sigma tools to tackle complex product problems, satisfy critical to quality customer requirements and eliminate waste

  • Solid track record in delivering large scale efficiency programmes via process improvement.

  • Demonstrated experience in collaborator and partner management at a senior level.

Other Requirements

  • IT delivery Process experience

  • Testing Process and Methodology experience

  • Risk & Compliance Management in a regulated environment.

  • Knowledge of financial services with a particular focus on Corporate and Markets

  • Knowledge of technology is a distinct advantage (must be 'technically literate')
