About the role

Job Summary

Overview: The Service Now Developer with 5 years of experience is responsible for advanced development, configuration, and maintenance of the Service Now platform. This role involves leading complex projects, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the platform meets the evolving needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Development and Customization: Lead the development and customization of Service Now applications.
  • Complex Workflow Automation: Design and implement complex automated workflows and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Integration Management: Oversee the integration of Service Now with other enterprise systems using web services, APIs, and other integration tools.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Troubleshooting and Optimization: Analyze and resolve advanced technical issues related to Service Now applications and integrations and optimize system performance.
  • Documentation and Standards: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications. Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and deliver tailored Service Now solutions.
  • Performance Monitoring and Enhancement: Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement performance enhancements. Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Service Now development with a focus on complex projects and integrations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript, Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Transform Maps, Workflows, REST APIs, Integration Hub spokes etc. Working Experience with ITSM Pro products e.g., Virtual Agent, Predictive Intelligence and Performance Analytics.
  • Certifications: Service Now Certified Application Developer and Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist certifications are required. Additional certifications in ITIL, ITSM, or related areas are highly desirable.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to learning and development.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Service Now CMDB and Asset Management.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with Service Now workspaces including UI Builder.
  • Experience with Service Now Now Assist products. same as above
