About the role

Job Summary

The Transition PMO is responsible for establishing and running the Transition Management Office (TMO/PMO) for large IT / security / operations transitions.\r\n The role ensures end‑to‑end governance, tracking, risk control, reporting discipline, and executive visibility, enabling controlled transition from incumbent → interim → BAU operations with minimal business disruption.

The Track Lead in Support & Operations plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence through effective project execution and team empowerment. This position focuses on continuous improvement and problem-solving to meet client SLAs while fostering a collaborative environment that drives organizational success.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate the Transition PMO / TMO aligned to HCLTech transition frameworks\r\n Define and manage:\r\n\r\n Governance structure & cadence\r\n Steering committee, program board, and operational forums\r\n Escalation paths and decision authorities\r\n\r\n\r\n Ensure alignment across service delivery, technology, tools, HR, finance, and third‑party tracks\r\n Maintain the master transition plan, integrating all workstreams:\r\n\r\n Service towers\r\n Tools & access\r\n Knowledge transfer (KT)\r\n Go‑live and hypercare\r\n\r\n\r\n Track milestones, dependencies, and critical path items\r\n Enforce entry/exit criteria for each transition phase (Engage, Learn, Perform)\r\n Own and maintain the Transition RAID log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)\r\n Drive proactive risk identification and mitigation\r\n Track and report transition KPIs, including:\r\n\r\nKT completion status\r\n Readiness and acceptance metrics\r\n Go‑live criteria\r\n\r\n\r\n Act as the single source of truth for transition status and metrics\r\n Govern KT planning, documentation, and sign‑offs across service towers\r\n Ensure completeness and acceptance of:\r\n\r\n Runbooks\r\nSOPs / playbooks\r\n Tool access and connectivity\r\n\r\n\r\n Track service readiness and acceptance prior to go‑live and BAU handover\r\n Support tracking of:\r\n\r\n Transition budgets\r\n Resource ramp‑up plans\r\nPRFs, Y‑codes, and transition‑specific cost visibility\r\n\r\n\r\n Partner with finance and delivery teams to ensure:\r\n\r\n Proper transition cost control\r\n Compliance with internal review and approval processes\r\n Govern formal handover from Transition to BAU PMO / Service Delivery\r\n Ensure all exit criteria are met:\r\n\r\n Acceptance sign‑offs\r\n Documentation closure\r\n Ownership transfer\r\n\r\n\r\n Support stabilization and hypercare tracking until transition closure

1. Enhance Operational Systems By Implementing Project Management Methodologies And Tools To Improve Management Reporting And Streamline Information Flow Across Teams.
2. Analyze Client Requirements And Ensure The Support Team Delivers Exceptional Service That Meets Or Exceeds Client Expectations, Utilizing Dmo Principles For Optimal Outcomes.
3. Lead And Mentor Project Teams By Facilitating Transparent Communication Of Goals And Expectations, Fostering A Culture Of Accountability And High Performance.
4. Drive Innovation By Identifying Opportunities For Process Development And Implementing Best Practices That Contribute To Overall Organizational Progress.
5. Provide Tailored Solutions That Align With Customer Needs And Organizational Capabilities, Leveraging Project Management Expertise To Achieve Business Results.

Skill Requirements

Security Transition PMO to run a large Security transition Program. Strong PMO / TMO governance expertise in large enterprise transitions\r\n Proven experience in:\r\n\r\n Multi‑workstream planning\r\nRAID management\r\n Executive reporting\r\n\r\n\r\n Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills\r\n Experience in IT, infrastructure, or security transitions\r\n Familiarity with ITIL / ISO‑aligned service models\r\n Working knowledge of Service Now or equivalent tools for transition tracking\r\n Advanced Excel and PowerPoint\r\nPMO dashboards / reporting tools (Power BI preferred)\r\n Structured PMO templates and governance artefacts\r\n\r\n

1. Proficient In Project Management Methodologies And Tools, Including Dmo Frameworks.
2. Strong Understanding Of Operations Management And Continuous Improvement Principles.
3. Excellent Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills.
4. Effective Leadership And Team Management Abilities.
5. Familiarity With Client Relationship Management And Service Level Agreements.

Other Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / IT / Management\r\nPMP / PRINCE2 / ITIL certification (preferred)\r\n10–15+ years overall experience\r\n5+ years in transition PMO, delivery PMO, or large program governance roles
