Job Summary

The Presales Consultant in the Storage and Backup domain plays a critical role in bridging the gap between customer needs and technical solutions. This role involves working closely with sales teams, customers, and technical stakeholders to design, present, and support enterprise storage and backup solutions.

--- ## Key Responsibilities

• Technical Consultation:

• Engage with customers to understand their IT infrastructure, storage, and data protection needs.

• Conduct technical discovery sessions and requirement gathering.

• Design and propose tailored storage and backup solutions (SAN, NAS, Object Storage, Backup Appliances, Cloud Backup, etc.).

• Solution Design & Architecture:

• Create solution architectures using technologies like VMware, Hyper-V, Veeam, Commvault, Net Backup, Dell EMC, HPE, Net App, etc.

• Ensure scalability, security, and compliance in proposed solutions.

• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.

• Proposal Development:

• Collaborate with sales and bid teams to develop RFP/RFI responses, BOMs, and solution documentation.

• Provide sizing, pricing, and configuration support.

• Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work with cross-functional teams including product management, delivery, and support.

• Act as a technical advisor during customer meetings and workshops.

• Market & Technology Awareness:

• Stay updated on emerging storage and backup technologies and trends.
