Job Summary

a senior-level technical expert responsible for the highest tier of support and architecture for Windows-based server environments running on Intel (x86/x64) hardware. As the final escalation point for technical issues, an L3 engineer focuses on complex problem resolution, system design, and long-term infrastructure stability rather than routine daily tickets

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Troubleshooting: Resolving highly complex issues escalated by L1 and L2 teams, including performing deep Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical server failures or performance bottlenecks. Active Directory (AD) & Identity: Designing and managing complex AD forests, handling replication issues, Group Policy (GPO) architecture, and managing hybrid identity solutions like Azure AD Connect. Infrastructure Design: Creating architectural blueprints for Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022) and managing migrations from legacy versions. Virtualization Management: Administering enterprise-level virtualization platforms, most commonly VMware v Sphere (ESXi/v Center) or Microsoft Hyper-V, including cluster management and capacity planning. System Hardening & Compliance: Implementing security standards and hardening guidelines to protect servers from vulnerabilities and ensuring systems meet audit requirements. Automation: Developing PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive administrative tasks, deployments, and patching processes.

Skill Requirements

Technical Stack: Deep expertise in Windows Server OS, DNS, DHCP, IIS, and failover clustering. Hardware Knowledge: Proficiency in managing enterprise-grade server hardware from vendors like Dell, HP, and IBM. Certifications: Often holds advanced credentials such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect or legacy MCSE certifications. Experience: Typically requires 7–12 years of experience in IT infrastructure
