Job Summary

L3 Network & Data Engineer – ORIX (USA)\r\n Client: ORIX USA\r\n Domain: Financial Services / Banking\r\n Level: L3 (Advanced Support & Engineering)\r\n Role Type: Network & Data Engineering / Operations\r\n Experience: 5–8 years\r\n\r\n Role Summary\r\nORIX USA is seeking an experienced L3 Network & Data Engineer to support and enhance enterprise network and data connectivity platforms within a highly regulated financial services environment. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, design-level support, data traffic optimization, and close collaboration with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure highly available, secure, and compliant network operations.\r\n\r\n The engineer will act as the final escalation point (L3) for complex network and data flow issues across on‑premises and cloud environments.\r\n\r\n Key Responsibilities\r\n Network Engineering & Operations (L3)\r\n Serve as L3 escalation for network incidents, outages, and complex performance issues.\r\n Support and manage enterprise-grade network infrastructure including:\r\nLAN / WAN\r\nMPLS, VPN, SD‑WAN\r\n Firewalls, Load Balancers, Proxies\r\n Perform deep packet analysis, traffic flow troubleshooting, and latency analysis.\r\n Handle root cause analysis (RCA) and permanent fix implementation for recurring issues.\r\n Support 24x7 production environments aligned to ORIX business-critical systems.\r\n Data Network & Connectivity\r\n Support secure data movement and connectivity between:\r\n On‑prem systems\r\n Cloud platforms (Azure / AWS)\r\n Third‑party financial partners\r\n Ensure reliable data flow for enterprise applications, reporting, and analytics platforms.\r\n Troubleshoot network-related data failures, packet drops, bandwidth bottlenecks, and routing issues.\r\n Work closely with data, middleware, and application teams to resolve end‑to‑end data path issues.\r\n Security & Compliance (Financial Services)\r\n Implement and support network security controls aligned with ORIX regulatory standards.\r\n Work with Info Sec teams on:\r\n Firewall rule management\r\nIDS/IPS\r\n Network segmentation and zero‑trust principles\r\n Ensure compliance with financial regulations and audit requirements (SOX, SOC2, internal risk controls).\r\n Assist in audit evidence, security reviews, and compliance-related documentation.\r\n Engineering, Automation & Improvements\r\n Participate in network design reviews, change planning, and implementation activities.\r\n Automate repetitive network tasks using scripts or tools (PowerShell, Python, Ansible – preferred).\r\n Support cloud networking components:\r\nVNET / VPC\r\n Subnets\r\nNSG / Security Groups\r\nVPN Gateway / Express Route\r\n Contribute to network standardization, optimization, and cost efficiency initiatives.\r\n Collaboration & Documentation\r\n Work closely with:\r\n Infrastructure & Cloud teams\r\n Data Engineering teams\r\n Application & Middleware teams\r\n Security & Risk teams\r\n Create and maintain:\r\n Network diagrams\r\n Runbooks\r\nSOPs\r\nLLD / HLD documentation\r\n Mentor L1/L2 operations teams and support knowledge transition.\r\n Required Skills & Qualifications\r\n Networking\r\n Strong expertise in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing & switching.\r\n Hands‑on experience with enterprise networking devices (Cisco / Palo Alto / Fortinet / F5 or equivalent).\r\n Experience with firewalls, load balancers, and VPN technologies.\r\n Strong troubleshooting skills using packet capture and network diagnostic tools.\r\n Cloud & Hybrid Networking\r\n Experience supporting Azure and/or AWS networking.\r\n Knowledge of hybrid connectivity and secure data transfer models.\r\n Understanding of cloud-native monitoring and logging.\r\n Data Connectivity & Performance\r\n Understanding of network impact on data pipelines, ETL flows, and application data traffic.\r\n Experience supporting data-heavy environments in banking or financial services.\r\n Operations & ITS
