The Technical Specialist (Boomi) plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing integration solutions using the Boomi platform for our clients. This role involves collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow across systems and applications.

Job Description – Boomi Technical Lead

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Boomi Technical Lead to design, develop, and manage integration solutions using the Dell Boomi platform. The candidate will play a critical role in driving integration strategy, leading development teams, and ensuring scalable, high-quality delivery aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Leadership
   Lead the design, development, and deployment of integration solutions using Dell Boomi (Atom Sphere)
   Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Boomi developers and integration teams
   Own end-to-end solution architecture including HLD/LLD documentation
   Ensure adherence to integration and enterprise architecture standards

Solution Design & Delivery:

Design scalable integrations across ERP, CRM, Cloud, and legacy systems
Define integration patterns (API-led, event-driven, ETL/ELT where applicable)
Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Drive Agile delivery (sprint planning, backlog prioritization, release management)

Development & Integration:

Develop and oversee integrations using:

Boomi Process Flow:

Connectors (SAP, Salesforce, REST/SOAP APIs, databases)

API Management and EDI integrations:

Ensure reusable components and best practices are followed
Drive performance optimization and error handling mechanisms

Governance & Quality:

Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards
Ensure proper documentation (design, technical specs, runbooks)
Monitor and resolve production issues with root cause analysis
Ensure security and compliance standards are met

Stakeholder & Client Management:

Act as the technical SPOC for integration-related discussions
Collaborate with business, architecture, and infrastructure teams
Support client engagements, solution demos, and roadmap discussions

Technical Skills:

6–10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in Dell Boomi
Strong expertise in:

Boomi Atom Sphere Platform:

API integrations (REST/SOAP)
EDI integrations (X12, EDIFACT) – preferred
Data mapping, transformation, and process workflows

Experience integrating with:

ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
CRM systems (Salesforce, Dynamics, etc.)

Strong knowledge of:

Integration patterns & middleware concepts
Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) – added advantage
JSON, XML, SQL

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and deploy boomi integration processes to connect various applications and systems.

2. Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using boomi.

3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to integration processes and ensure optimal system performance.

4. Collaborate with teams to enhance existing integration processes and recommend improvements.

5. Stay updated on boomi platform advancements and best practices to provide cutting-edge solutions to clients.

6. Conduct training sessions for team members and end-users on boomi integration techniques and functionalities.

Skill Requirements

1. In-depth knowledge of boomi platform and its capabilities for application and data integration.

2. Proficient in designing and implementing boomi integration processes, including connectors, transformations, and api management.

3. Strong understanding of cloud based technologies and experience with cloud platforms like aws, azure, or google cloud platform.

4. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues efficiently.

5. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams and stakeholders.

6. Certifications in boomi integration and relevant experience in implementing boomi solutions will be an added advantage.

Other Requirements

1.Dell Boomi Developer Certification is preferred.
