About the role

Job Summary

Role Overview The Cloud Operations Manager is responsible for end‑to‑end operations, stability, and continuous improvement of cloud platforms across AWS and/or Azure in a 24x7 global delivery model. This role owns run excellence, reliability, cost optimization, governance, and transformation, ensuring cloud environments operate in a secure, compliant, scalable, and cost‑effective manner. The role acts as the primary accountable owner for cloud operational KPIs, customer satisfaction, and service continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities 1. Cloud Operations & Service Reliability Own daily operations of AWS/Azure cloud platforms supporting production workloads Ensure high availability, resilience, and performance of cloud services JD_Cloud Ops Manager | Word Lead incident, problem, and change management for cloud services (P1/P2 ownership) Drive MTTR reduction and incident trend improvement 2. Governance & Stakeholder Management Establish and lead Operational, Tactical, and Strategic governance forums Act as single‑point escalation owner for cloud service issues and risks Work closely with customers, application teams, SRE, security, networking, and vendors Ensure adherence to ITIL, DFS WoW, and customer‑specific governance models 3. Cloud Security, Compliance & Resilience Ensure compliance with security policies, audit requirements, and regulatory controls Drive backup, DR, and business continuity strategies JD_Cloud Ops Manager | Word Partner with security teams on IAM, network security, encryption, and vulnerability remediation Own cloud operational readiness for audits and assessments 4. Cost Optimization & Fin Ops Drive cloud cost governance (Fin Ops): Resource right‑sizing Cost optimization Budget adherence Identify and eliminate wastage and inefficiencies Provide monthly cost, forecast, and optimization reports to leadership 5. Automation, SRE & Continuous Improvement Drive adoption of automation, IaC, and self‑healing solutions Work with COEs on SRE, AIOps, and observability platforms Standardize runbooks, SOPs, and operational processes Lead continuous service improvement initiatives aligned to business outcomes 6. Vendor & Platform Management Manage cloud service providers and tooling vendors JD_Cloud Ops Manager | Word Ensure SLAs with hyperscalers and partners are met Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and operational tooling 7. People & Capability Management Lead and mentor Cloud Ops Engineers, SREs, and Platform teams Drive shift planning, on‑call models, skill uplift, and certifications Ensure workforce compliance with DFS HR and delivery processes
