About the role

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Workday Senior Configuration Consultant with strong hands-on experience in functional configuration across Workday Learning,Time and Absence, and Custom Reports, along with Talent Management & Talent Acquisition modules.
This role will be responsible for configuring, enhancing, and supporting Workday HCM solutions, ensuring seamless alignment with talent, learning, workforce scheduling, and reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities

Workday Core HCM Configuration

  • Configure and support Core HCM, including:
  • Supervisory and matrix organizations
  • Job profiles, positions, and staffing models
  • Worker data, employment lifecycle events
  • Configure and maintain Business Process Framework for:
  • Hire, job change, termination
  • Time and learning-related approvals
  • Talent and recruiting business processes
  • Support HCM security configuration, domain policies, and role-based access.
  • Provide functional guidance on Workday best practices aligned with business needs.

Workday Learning Configuration

  • Configure and support Workday Learning, including:
  • Learning content (courses, programs, learning paths)
  • Enrollments, prerequisites, certifications, and campaigns
  • Learning eligibility rules and audience assignments
  • Configure learning-related business processes, notifications, and approvals.
  • Support content provider integrations and learning data reporting.
  • Partner with stakeholders to enhance employee learning and development experiences.

Workday Time and Absence Configuration

  • Configure Time Tracking and Absence Management, including:
  • Time calculation rules, time entry templates, and schedules
  • Absence plans, accruals, eligibility rules, and carryover policies
  • Configure time and absence business processes, validations, and approvals.
  • Ensure accurate alignment between Time, Absence, Payroll, and HCM.
  • Support testing, issue resolution, and ongoing enhancements.

Talent Management & Talent Acquisition

  • Configure and support Talent modules, including:
  • Performance management, goals, and reviews
  • Succession planning and talent pools
  • Configure Talent Acquisition, including:
  • Job requisitions, job postings, and candidate pipelines
  • Interview stages, offer management, and onboarding integrations
  • Support end-to-end talent lifecycle reporting and analytics.
  • Partner with HR stakeholders to optimize talent processes.

Workday Reporting & Analytics

  • Design and maintain Custom Reports, including:
  • Advanced reports and dashboards
  • Calculated fields, matrices, and composite reports
  • Develop and support RaaS (Reports as a Service) for downstream integrations.
  • Support reporting requirements across Learning, Time, Talent, and Recruiting.
  • Ensure data accuracy, performance optimization, and security compliance.

Testing, Deployment & Support

  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support QA and UAT activities.
  • Prepare and execute tenant migrations (Sandbox, Preview, Production).
  • Provide production support, incident resolution, and post-deployment validation.
  • Create and maintain functional and technical documentation, KT materials, and configuration guides.
  • Participate in Workday bi-annual releases, regression testing, and impact analysis.

Skill Requirements

4+ years of Workday experience

with a strong focus on functional configuration.Hands-on configuration experience in: -Learning

  • Time and Absence
  • Custom Reports / Advanced Reporting
  • Talent Management
  • Talent Acquisition

Strong understanding of Workday Business Process Framework.Solid experience with:

  • Calculated fields and advanced reporting concepts
  • RaaS and integration-enabled reports

Experience with Workday security, including:

  • Security domains
  • ISU and authentication policies

Experience supporting end-to-end implementations or post-production support environments.
