Job Summary : Infrastructure Order Champion Job Description: Position Overview Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Technology Business Systems Consultant to drive end‑to‑end management of infrastructure orders, expedite blockers, and coordinate with application groups to maintain progress toward data center migration, infrastructure upgrades, platform readiness, and hygiene targets as part of Commercial Corporate & Investment Bank Technology (CCIBT) Infrastructure Solutions team. This role requires a strong technical foundation combined with excellent customer service and operational discipline skills to ensure seamless execution and strong collaboration with CCIBT Application and Enterprise Infrastructure teams. In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in multiple end-to-end requests to migrate, upgrade and decommission the infrastructure for CCIBT application teams, including server, storage, and network upgrades, virtualization, and cloud adoption • Serve as primary liaison and provide training to application teams and collaborate with peers, Infrastructure Solutions team colleagues and managers to resolve migration issues and achieve goals • Be process-focused to ensure migration deadlines are met, identify and resolve issues blocking migrations, track migration metrics and milestones, and keep application teams, and Infrastructure Solutions team colleagues and managers informed of progress • Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues promptly to maintain migration timelines • Recommend courses of action to right-size infrastructure requests and maintain cost effectiveness • Work to drive adoption of insights and metrics as a resource for the Infrastructure Solutions team to enable a data-driven decision-making approach, with emphasis on reducing cycle time for infrastructure requests and ensuring clean, audit‑ready infrastructure ticket quality • Ensure all infrastructure requests adhere to regulatory, security, and compliance standards • Maintain detailed documentation and provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders. Required Skills & Qualifications • Experience: 4+ years of Business Systems Data or Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, with at least 2 years focused on technical infrastructure projects and data center migrations.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of infrastructure (servers, storage, networking), virtualization, and cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).
- Detail-oriented, results-driven operational discipline: accurate documentation, repeatable processes, measurable reliability improvements.
- Customer Service: Excellent ability to provide strong customer service while listening, eliciting information efficiently, comprehending, and resolving application teams’ issues.
- Time Management: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and responsiveness.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Tools: Familiarity with incident or ticket management systems, including updating tickets, tracking status, or documenting resolution steps. Familiarity with migration tools (e.g., VMware v Motion).
