Job Description for Senior Service Now Developer:

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Service Now Developer to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of solutions on the Service Now platform. You should have a strong background in software development and a good understanding of IT service management processes. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop solutions within the Service Now platform to include modifications of applications, forms, workflows, interfaces, and any other customization required to support IT service management processes.
• Collaborate with business analysts and other stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.
• Configure and maintain Service Now modules such as Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Service Catalog, etc.
• Develop and implement integrations between Service Now and other systems using web services, MID Servers, email, etc.
• Perform unit testing and debugging; troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain technical documentation related to the Service Now platform configuration, design, and implementation.
• Provide support and mentorship to junior developers or team members as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum of X years of experience as a Service Now developer, with at least X years working with Service Now platform.
• Solid understanding of Service Now development best practices, including coding standards, security best practices, and integration techniques.
• Experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS, and other web development languages and technologies.
• Experience with Service Now scripting, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, etc.
• Experience with Service Now REST and SOAP web services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification in one or more modules.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with ITIL framework and ITSM processes.
