Job Description: Orchestration Lead

Role Overview

The Orchestration Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing end‑to‑end orchestration frameworks that streamline workflows, enhance operational efficiency, and improve service delivery. This role leads cross-functional coordination, automation initiatives, and operational governance to ensure seamless integration across systems, processes, and teams.

Key Responsibilities

Orchestration & Workflow Design:

• Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise‑level orchestration workflows for business and IT operations.
• Architect end‑to‑end process automation using orchestration tools.
• Ensure workflows meet compliance, security, and operational standards.

1. Operational Excellence

• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies; drive continuous improvement.
• Define KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
• Establish governance for workflow lifecycle management.

1. Cross‑Functional Leadership

• Collaborate with engineering, operations, DevOps, SRE, security, and business teams.
• Lead workshops and solution design sessions.
• Mentor analysts and automation engineers.

Automation Strategy & Delivery:

• Own the orchestration roadmap and automation opportunities.
• Manage testing, deployment, and scaling of orchestrations.
• Ensure integrations with APIs, microservices, cloud, and ITSM systems.

1. Incident, Problem & Change Management

• Act as SME for incidents and RCA processes.
• Partner with service management teams to improve reliability.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Maintain architecture diagrams, SOPs, and operational guides.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills:

• Orchestration/workflow automation tools
• Scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
• APIs, integration frameworks
• Cloud platforms and CI/CD
• ITSM tools

Leadership & Soft Skills:

• Stakeholder management
• Cross-functional leadership
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineering or CS degree
• ITIL, DevOps, Cloud certifications
• Experience in large-scale automation programs

Key Responsibilities

1. To architect| design and develop (through Team) solution for product/project & sustenance delivery

To support as an Subject Matter Expert:

1. To ensure knowledge up-gradation and work with new technologies so that the solution is current and meets quality standards and the client requirements

2. Ensuring a sufficient pool of skilled professionals in the designated technology, through activities such as conducting interviews, providing training sessions and offering mentorship.

3. To gather specifications and deliver solutions to the client organization based on understanding of a domain or technology.

4. To support competency development with envisioning and articulating propositions – building collaterals/ whitepaper creation, market trend analysis etc.

5. To recommend client value creation initiatives and implement industry best practices (on specific technology/product)
