Key Responsibilities

Cloud Security Architecture & Operations

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud security architectures across Azure and AWS environments.

• Configure and operate AWS Guard Duty for continuous threat detection, anomaly analysis, and incident triage.

• Manage Azure Security Centre (Microsoft Defender for Cloud) — policy assignments, regulatory compliance assessments, secure score monitoring, and alert management.

• Administer AWS Security Hub to aggregate, prioritize, and remediate security findings across multi-account environments.

• Leverage AWS Config for resource compliance evaluation, configuration drift detection, and automated remediation using conformance packs.

• Manage and analyze AWS CloudTrail (Cloud Trail) for audit logging, forensic investigation, and compliance reporting.

Security Governance & Compliance

• Define and enforce cloud security governance policies aligned to industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Benchmarks, SOC 2).

• Conduct cloud risk assessments, security reviews, and third-party audits, producing governance-ready reports for senior stakeholders.

• Drive security baseline configuration across cloud estates, ensuring continuous compliance posture, support internal and external audit processes by providing evidence packs, access logs, and remediation records.

• Collaborate with enterprise architecture and delivery teams to embed security-by-design in new cloud workloads.

Security Governance Knowledge (Essential)

• Proven expertise in cloud security governance frameworks: ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Cloud Benchmarks, SOC 2 Type II.

• Ability to author and maintain security policies, standards, and exception processes.

• Experience managing cloud security posture management (CSPM) tooling and reporting to senior leadership.

• Understanding of data residency, data classification, and cross-border data transfer regulations (GDPR, NIS2).

• Track record of working with GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) platforms or processes.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• One or more of the following certifications — highly preferred:

• AWS Certified Security – Specialty

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)

• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)

• CISSP / CISM / CompTIA Security+

• Hands-on lab evidence or portfolio of cloud security implementations is an advantage.
