Track Lead - NetApp FAS, EMC Isilion

Job Summary

Storage administration and engineering in a large 24x7 environment operating within the realms of Agile and ITIL processes\r\n• Closely communicate with both IT and business partners to design and implement solutions supporting business needs\r\n• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical environments on distributed applications and infrastructure\r\n• Ensure procedures are followed and mechanisms are in place to ensure compliance to technical designs, best practices, and are well supported\r\n• Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point\r\n• Maintain lifecycle of all storage assets including capacity planning and performance management.\r\n• Support audit, compliance, risk assessment, security and other business needs\r\n• Write documentation and procedures\r\n• Ensure knowledge sharing and skill development in the team\r\n• Deliver team’s vision, roadmap and strategy consistent with GTE needs\r\n• Continuous improvement using DevOps skills to streamline/transform manual processes\r\n• Work in shifts, flexible to work outside office hours\r\n

Skill Requirements

Installation and setup of Net App ONTAP clusters\r\n• Management of Broadcom/Cisco IC switches\r\n• Provisioning and administration of CIFS and NFS file access\r\n• Management of ONTAP data protection features\r\n• ONTAP/Firmware upgrade\r\n• Performance monitoring of Net App ONTAP clusters\r\n• Troubleshooting in complex Net App NAS environment\r\n• Configuration of Scality replication and erasure coding\r\n• Management of Scality RING\r\n• Support for S3 protocol for object access\r\n• Non-disruptive RING upgrade\r\n• Administration of Pure Storage\r\n• Purity OS upgrade\r\n

Other Requirements

Shell scripting\r\n• Automation skills (Python, Git, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Ansible, etc)\r\n• Monitoring/Observability (Grafana, ELK, etc)\r\n
