Engineer - Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, MySQL

Job Summary

This role is responsible for developing and maintaining database components using PostgreSQL and MySQL. The individual will support the implementation of assigned features, perform routine troubleshooting, and ensure data integrity within established quality and timeline standards. They will participate in documentation and support activities, contributing to the reliability of database-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement database scripts and queries using PostgreSQL and MySQL to support application features as per specifications.

2. Maintain and update existing database objects by applying basic troubleshooting and bug fixes with guidance from senior team members.

3. Execute data extraction and reporting tasks using SQL tools to fulfill internal team requirements.

4. Participate in team-based code reviews, providing and receiving feedback to enhance database code quality.

5. Document database structures, changes, and processes in alignment with project documentation standards.

Skill Requirements

1. Basic understanding of relational database concepts and SQL syntax.

2. Familiarity with developing and modifying database objects using PostgreSQL and MySQL.

3. Foundational knowledge of data modeling, normalization, and query optimization principles.

4. Ability to use database management tools for basic tasks such as data import/export and user access.

5. Fundamental knowledge of version control systems for database scripts.

Other Requirements

1. Optional but valuable: Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or PostgreSQL Associate Certification.
