Project Manager

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with strong exposure to SAP iMRO (Intelligent Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul). The role focuses on delivering scalable, high-performance solutions aligned with Clean Core principles, leveraging SAP S/4HANA extensibility and SAP BTP to minimize core modifications and enable future-ready architecture.

--- Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support ABAP custom objects (RICEFW – Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Forms, Workflows).

• Design and implement solutions for iMRO/MRO processes (maintenance planning, shop visit planning, task lists, maintenance orders, component overhaul).

• Ensure adherence to SAP Clean Core strategy by minimizing core modifications and leveraging in-app and side-by-side extensibility.

• Build enhancements using BAd Is, User Exits, BAPIs, and Enhancement Framework aligned with extensibility best practices.

• Develop ABAP on HANA solutions (CDS Views, AMDP) ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

• Design and expose services via OData and APIs, enabling Fiori/UI5 applications.

• Collaborate with functional teams (PM, MM, PP, SD, QM, FI) to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Participate in code reviews, enforce development standards, and maintain technical documentation.

• Support testing phases (SIT/UAT), deployments, and hypercare activities.

• Work in agile/global teams, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.

--- Required Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of SAP ABAP development experience (ECC/S/4HANA).

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP iMRO.

• Expertise in ABAP Objects, Enhancements (BAd Is/User Exits), BAPIs, IDOCs, and Data Dictionary.

• Experience in Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, SAPScripts, and ALV reporting.

• Strong knowledge of ABAP on HANA (CDS, AMDP, performance tuning).

• Proven ability to apply Clean Core principles and S/4 extensibility approaches.

• Good understanding of integration with PM, MM, SD, and PP modules.

• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in at least one full lifecycle implementation or rollout.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

--- Good to Have

• Hands-on experience with SAP BTP (ABAP Environment / Steampunk) and side-by-side extensions.

• Experience in Fiori/UI5 development and OData services.

• Knowledge of SAP Integration Suite / APIs for extension scenarios.

• Domain experience in MRO (Aviation, Manufacturing, Defense, Industrial Engineering).

• Exposure to S/4HANA conversion or greenfield implementations.

• SAP ABAP or relevant certification.

Key Responsibilities

1. To oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring adherence to coding standards , implementation of best practices and perform Value creation and KM activities.

2. To ensure process improvement and compliance| and participate in technical design discussion and to review technical documents.

3. To create project plans and keep track of schedule for on time delivery as per the defined quality standards.

4. To work closely with the development team, On-site Engineers to understand technical requirements and work with them to address and resolve technical issues.

5. Identify & flag potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or quality, develop mitigation strategies / contingency plans to address risks and provide regular project updates to key stakeholders.
