Job Summary

The Design Lead at HCL is responsible for overseeing and managing the design process, with a strong emphasis on Mechanical Design Fundamentals, CAD Design Skills, and Unigraphics NX. The main objective is to lead the design team in creating innovative and efficient mechanical designs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage and lead the design team in creating mechanical designs that meet project requirements and industry standards
2. Utilize mechanical design fundamentals to develop concepts and detailed designs
3. Proficient in cad design skills to create 2d and 3d models, assemblies, and drawings
4. Expertise in unigraphics nx to design and analyze mechanical components and systems
5. Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and align with project timelines
6. Conduct design reviews, provide feedback, and ensure continuous improvement in the design process
7. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in mechanical design

Skill Requirements

1. Strong understanding of mechanical design fundamentals including material selection, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles
2. Proficiency in cad design skills with experience in software such as solidworks, autocad, or other cad tools
3. Advanced knowledge of unigraphics nx for creating complex mechanical designs and simulations
4. Ability to think creatively and problem solve to develop innovative design solutions
5. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
6. Strong project management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality designs
7. Attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in all design work

Other Requirements

1.Professional certifications in CAD software or Unigraphics NX are a plus but not mandatory
