Track Manager - EMC Avamar,EMC NetWorker, EMC Data Domain

Job Summary

This role oversees end-to-end operations management for complex data protection environments, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of enterprise backup and recovery solutions. The position drives continuous improvement initiatives, addresses escalated incidents, and provides expert leadership to teams managing EMC Avamar, EMC Legato, and EMC Data Domain platforms. They are accountable for aligning operational performance with client SLAs and fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead operational management and optimization of backup and recovery systems leveraging EMC Avamar, EMC Legato, and EMC Data Domain, ensuring high availability and data integrity.

2. Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes using EMC tools, driving root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to minimize service disruptions.

3. Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to support teams on EMC backup solutions, fostering skill development and operational best practices.

4. Monitor and analyze performance metrics and reporting from EMC platforms, proactively identifying areas for process improvement and implementing automation or enhancements.

5. Engage directly with clients to understand backup and recovery requirements, ensuring support teams deliver to agreed SLAs and exceed client expectations.

6. Drive innovation by evaluating new features and updates in EMC backup technologies, recommending and implementing improvements to optimize operational efficiency.

7. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards by managing backup configurations, retention policies, and data protection measures across EMC environments.

Skill Requirements

1. Excellent Understanding Of Backup Architectures, Data Protection Strategies, And Enterprise Storage Solutions.

2. Advanced Proficiency In Itil Based Operations Processes, Including Incident, Problem, And Change Management.

3. Strong Skills In Performance Monitoring, Reporting, And Process Automation Within Emc Environments.

4. Excellent Communication And Leadership Abilities, With A Focus On Team Empowerment And Client Relationship Management.

Other Requirements

1. EMC Proven Professional certification (EMCISA, Avamar Specialist, or equivalent) recommended.

2. ITIL Foundation certification (optional but valuable)
