DataStage Technical Lead

Job Summary

The Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing and leading the technical aspects of projects involving IBM Infosphere Data Stage Suite, SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and Unix Shell Scripting. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing data integration solutions utilizing these technologies to meet business requirements and objectives efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage a team of developers in the design, development, and deployment of ibm infosphere datastage jobs and workflows.

2. Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for data integration projects.

3. Develop and maintain etl processes using ibm infosphere datastage, ensuring optimal performance and data quality.

4. Design, implement, and optimize sql queries in oracle databases for data retrieval and manipulation.

5. Create and maintain unix shell scripts to automate data loading processes and perform system tasks efficiently.

6. Troubleshoot technical issues, conduct performance tuning, and ensure data integrity across all systems.

7. Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.

8. Stay updated on the latest technologies and tools in data integration to drive innovation and efficiency in project delivery.

Skill Requirements

1. Proficiency in ibm infosphere datastage suite for designing and implementing etl solutions.

2. Strong sql skills with the ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and functions in oracle databases.

3. Experience in oracle pl/sql for database programming and optimization.

4. Proficient in unix shell scripting for automation of data processes and system tasks.

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

6. Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively lead a technical team and collaborate with stakeholders.

7. Proven experience in project management, including planning, organizing, and executing technical projects effectively.

8. Strong knowledge of azure devops to build and deploy

Other Requirements

1.Relevant certifications in IBM Infosphere Datastage or Oracle PL/SQL are a plus.
