Solution Architect I

Job Summary

HCLTech is seeking a Sovereign Cloud Solution Architect to design and shape end-to-end sovereign cloud solutions across regulated industries. The role works closely with Presales, BDMs, BAG, and technical SMEs to build compliant, scalable solutions, support RFPs, and ensure solution consistency across sovereign cloud offerings. The Solution Architect acts as a design authority ensuring data, technology, and operations sovereignty by design.

Key Responsibilities

• Create sovereign cloud solution documents, architecture narratives, and design artefacts

• Develop and maintain reference architectures for in-country, air-gapped, and hybrid sovereign deployments

• Work closely with Presales teams to shape and review solution approaches for active deals

• Provide technical leadership and solution support for RFPs, RFIs, and strategic bids

• Collaborate with BDMs and BAG to proactively support deal shaping and pipeline progression

• Engage with technical SMEs (cloud, network, security, GRC, automation, data) to build integrated solutions

• Define solution evaluation criteria across technical, regulatory, and operational dimensions

• Ensure solutions align with standard sovereign assets, blueprints, and frameworks

• Act as solution design authority, reviewing and approving sovereign cloud solution architectures

• Track sovereign cloud pipeline from a solution readiness and compliance perspective

Skill Requirements

• Strong experience designing cloud and hybrid cloud architectures in regulated environments

• Deep understanding of sovereign cloud principles including data residency and jurisdictional control

• Experience with cloud platforms, private cloud, and container-based platforms

• Ability to translate regulatory and compliance requirements into technical solutions
