Job Summary:

We are seeking a Service Now SAM Pro Specialist to optimize our software asset management (SAM) processes, focusing on license reconciliation, software normalization, and Service Now SAM Pro integration with ITAM functions. The ideal candidate will ensure effective license management, entitlement tracking, contract mapping, and compliance across the IT asset portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• ELP Generation: Lead the creation of Effective License Positions (ELP) and resolve compliance risks.
• License Reconciliation & Normalization: Regularly reconcile licenses and normalize software versions for accurate reporting.
• Entitlements & Metrics: Configure entitlements, licensing rules, and metrics in SAM Pro for efficient license management.
• Discovery Integration: Integrate Service Now Discovery with SAM Pro to track software installations and licenses.
• Contract Mapping: Map software entitlements to contracts, tracking renewals and audits.
• ITAM Process Optimization: Continuously improve ITAM processes for software lifecycle management and compliance.
• Software Bundling/Parent-Child: Manage software bundling and parent-child associations in SAM Pro.
• Collaboration & Reporting: Work cross-functionally with teams and deliver reports on software usage, compliance, and licensing costs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Service Now SAM Pro implementation and management.
• Strong expertise in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and software lifecycle management.
• Experience in license reconciliation, software normalization, and entitlement management.
• Proficiency in Service Now Discovery integration and mapping software contracts to entitlements.
• Solid communication and analytical skills, with the ability to manage large datasets.
• Certification: Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) or ITIL certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with global organizations on software asset management.
• Familiarity with software bundling and parent-child associations in SAM Pro.
• Knowledge of SAM best practices (ITIL, ISO/IEC 19770).

1. Years of Experience for both Functional and technical consultants roles
   Functional Consultant – 6 – 8 years
   Technical Consultant – 6 years

• Service Now Functional Consultant (6-8Yrs Exp) ~2 FTEs

• Experience in configuration and administration of the Service Now HAM/SAM modules

• Strong understanding of IT management workflows

• Strong technical and development experience in Service Now

• Knowledge of Service Now platform, including Asset Management, CMDB, Performance Analytics, and Change Management modules

• Problem-solving ability

• ITSM & ITAM Business acumen

• Service Now Tech Consultant (6Yrs Exp) ~6 FTEs

• Strong understanding of ITAM and IT management workflows

• Experience with JavaScript, Service Now scripting, and other tools

• Ability to work on external system integration from Service Now (to Oracle i Procurement, Oracle Financials etc)

• Understanding of asset accounting and finance

• Experience with IT asset management tools and systems
