About the role

Job Summary

Must have: Core SAP Success Factors & Payroll Expertise

  • 10+ years of experience in SAP Payroll, with strong hands-on expertise in Success Factors Employee Central Payroll (ECP)

  • In-depth knowledge of SAP HCM Payroll schemas, rules, PCRs, wage types, and payroll drivers

  • Strong experience in End-to-End Payroll processing including:

  • Payroll run, retro calculations, off-cycle payroll

  • Payroll reconciliation and control

  • Year-end activities and statutory reporting

  • Solid understanding of Employee Central (EC) data model and its impact on payroll processing

  • Expertise in EC–ECP replication, including:

  • Employee master data replication

  • Organisational data, compensation, time-related data

  • Error handling and monitoring

  • Strong understanding of time valuation and its impact on payroll, including wage type generation

  • Experience with EC Time data replication to ECP and troubleshooting replication issues

  • Knowledge of time-related infotypes and payroll relevance in ECP

  • Ability to analyse and resolve time evaluation and payroll discrepancies caused by time data

  • Understanding of overtime, premium pay, and time-related allowances in payroll

  • Experience supporting time testing cycles during UAT, payroll parallel runs, and go-live

  • Ability to work closely with HR, Time, and Payroll stakeholders to ensure end-to-end time-to-pay accuracy

Key Responsibilities

Country & Compliance Knowledge

  • Strong experience in country-specific payroll configuration (specifically for DACH countries)

  • Deep understanding of local statutory requirements, tax, social insurance, and legal reporting

  • Experience managing multi-country or global payroll landscapes

  • Ability to interpret payroll legislation and translate it into system configuration

Skill Requirements

Payroll Control Centre (PCC) & Monitoring

  • Hands-on experience with Payroll Control Centre (PCC):

  • Configuration of KPIs, policies, and validation rules

  • Payroll alerts and monitoring

  • Strong experience with Payroll Reconciliation, audits, and compliance checks

Integration & Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of SAP integrations related to payroll:

  • EC to ECP

  • ECP to FI/GL posting

  • Third-party integrations (banks, tax authorities, benefit providers)

  • Knowledge of SAP HCM Time Management and its integration with payroll (advantageous)

Optional, (but will be working on these elements during the support role.)

In-depth knowledge of In-depth knowledge of Employee Central Time Management components, including:

  • Time Types

  • Time Profiles

  • Work Schedules

  • Holiday Calendars

  • Time Recording Variants

  • Experience working with complex work schedules, shifts, public holidays, and country-specific time rules

  • Experience configuring and supporting absence and attendance management in EC Time

  • Familiarity with SAP Cloud Integration (CPI) is a plus

  • Experience with IDocs, BAd Is, user exits, and enhancement frameworks
