The L3 Security Awareness Engineer is responsible for owning and driving enterprise‑wide Security Awareness using Proofpoint Zen Guide. This role focuses on behavior change, human risk reduction, advanced phishing simulations, and executive‑level reporting, while providing technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities Security Awareness Program Ownership
- Own end‑to‑end Security Awareness and Phishing Simulation program using Proofpoint Zen Guide
- Design risk‑based and role‑based learning journeys aligned to business functions and threat landscape
- Drive measurable human risk reduction, moving beyond compliance‑only training
Proofpoint Zen Guide Platform Leadership
- Architect, configure, and manage Zen Guide modules:
- Training campaigns
- Phishing simulations
- Knowledge assessments
- Behavioral risk scoring
- Customize content and cadence using real‑world threat intelligence
- Manage user lifecycle integrations (AD / Azure AD / HR systems)
Advanced Phishing & Behavior Analytics
- Design and govern phishing simulations (credential phishing, BEC, attachments, URLs, QR threats)
- Identify high‑risk users, repeat clickers, and vulnerable business units
- Implement teachable moments and targeted retraining
Metrics, Reporting & Governance
- Own dashboards and metrics:
- Phish‑prone percentage
- Training effectiveness
- Behavior change trends
- Risk reduction over time
- Deliver leadership‑ready and audit‑ready reports
- Define and enforce Security Awareness policies, standards, and cadence
Required Skills & Experience Mandatory
- 6–9+ years in Cyber Security / Information Security
- Strong hands‑on experience with Proofpoint Zen Guide
- Deep understanding of phishing, social engineering, and human‑centric risks
- Experience delivering executive‑level security metrics and insights
