Job Summary

Job Title: Senior Test Lead – Insurance & Reinsurance Data Migration Testing Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to drive functional and data testing activities for Insurance and Reinsurance transformation programs. The role requires strong expertise in analytics testing, SQL-based data validation, data reconciliation, and end-to-end business process validation across underwriting, claims, and policy administration domains. The candidate will be responsible for leading testing efforts for Azure-based data migration and reporting initiatives, ensuring high-quality delivery and business alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end functional testing activities across Insurance and Reinsurance programs.
• Define and execute testing strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Perform detailed data validation and reconciliation using SQL across source and target systems.
• Validate data migration outcomes for Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, Azure SQL, and related cloud platforms.
• Ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of migrated data through reconciliation and quality checks.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and project teams to understand requirements and validate business outcomes.
• Drive defect management, root cause analysis, test reporting, and quality governance.
• Support SIT, UAT, Regression Testing, and Production Validation activities.
• Provide leadership and guidance to testing teams and coordinate across multiple workstreams.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience in Functional Testing and Test Leadership roles.
• Hands-on expertise in SQL for data validation, analytics testing, and reconciliation activities.
• Strong understanding of Insurance and Reinsurance business processes.
• Experience in Underwriting, Claims Processing, Policy Administration, Premium Processing, and related insurance functions.
• Proven experience in Data Migration and Data Warehouse testing projects.
• Experience with Azure-based data platforms including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, Azure SQL, and Power BI reporting validation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Preferred Experience:

• Exposure to Munich Re, Reinsurance, or Global Insurance programs.
• Experience validating KPI, SLA, operational reporting, and regulatory reporting datasets.
• Knowledge of cloud migration, data governance, and enterprise reporting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan, design, and execute functional testing for analytics systems to meet business requirements

2. Create test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts for analytics applications

3. Perform sql querying to validate data accuracy and troubleshoot issues

4. Collaborate with cross functional teams to define testing strategies and ensure successful implementation

5. Analyze test results, identify defects, and provide recommendations for improvements

6. Develop and maintain testing documentation and reports

7. Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into the testing processes

Skill Requirements

1. Proficiency in analytics functional testing methodologies and tools

2. Strong sql querying skills for data validation and troubleshooting

3. Ability to interpret and understand complex data models and structures

4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
