About the role
Job Summary
- Design, develop, and maintain Terraform modules and reusable infrastructure templates for cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management using Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Establish and enforce best practices for Terraform code structure, versioning, remote state management, and environment separation.
- Integrate Terraform workflows into CI/CD pipelines to enable secure and reliable deployments.
- Collaborate with cloud architects, security teams, and application teams to deliver scalable and compliant infrastructure solutions.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure deployment issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
- Review infrastructure changes for security, compliance, cost efficiency, and operational resilience.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineers and administrators on Terraform and IaC best practices.
- Support audits, governance controls, and policy compliance across infrastructure environments. The Ansible L3 role requires a deep understanding of Ansible Automations for infrastructure management, application deployment, server security, CI/CD, service orchestration, and cloud provisioning. It also demands hands-on experience with Ansible (including Ansible Tower), Terraform on cloud platforms like AWS/Azure, and advanced knowledge of Unix/Windows OS.
Key Responsibilities
highly skilled Terraform Subject Matter Expert (SME) to design, implement, and optimize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions across cloud environments. The role is responsible for building scalable, secure, and reusable Terraform-based infrastructure, standardizing deployment practices, and enabling automation across development, operations, and platform teams. The ideal candidate combines deep Terraform expertise with strong cloud, DevOps, and governance knowledge to improve reliability, speed, and operational efficiency. 1. Technical assistance to the team on Ansible/Ansible Tower implementation, configuration, playbook/module development, and support.
2. Good hands-on experience in analyzing requirements, solutions, and estimates to complete installations, implementations, and customization of DevOps practices using Ansible.
3. Good scripting experience in any language like PowerShell, Shell, Python, etc.
4. Administer Ansible infrastructure, perform maintenance and configuration, and provide SME-level support.
Skill Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, including modules, workspaces, providers, state files, and backend configuration.
- Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code, cloud architecture, networking, IAM, security, and governance concepts.
- Experience integrating Terraform with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Working knowledge of version control systems such as Git and branching/release management practices.
- Experience with scripting or automation using Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Good understanding of container and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage.
- Ability to perform troubleshooting, impact analysis, and optimization for cloud infrastructure deployments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with ITSM/ITIL processes, change management, and incident/problem management is preferred 1. Deep understanding in Ansible Automations like infrastructure as a code, management, application deployment, server security, CI/CD, service orchestration, and cloud provisioning.
- Hands-on experience in using Ansible (including Ansible Tower) and Terraform on cloud platforms like AWS/Azure/GCP.
- Strong knowledge of Unix/Windows OS.
- Experience implementing DevOps Pipelines and IaC with any automation tools.
- Hands-on experience on AWX or Ansible Tower.
Other Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Typically 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering, with relevant Terraform experience.
- Hashi Corp Terraform Associate certification is preferred; cloud certifications are an added advantage.
- Experience working in enterprise environments with multi-environment or multi-cloud deployments is desirable.
- Strong documentation, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and support critical production environments when needed.
