Job Summary
- Job Title: Workday Functional Consultant – Core HCM Role Purpose: The Workday Functional Consultant – Core HCM serves as a business-facing functional specialist for core HR processes within Workday. The role is responsible for requirements gathering, process analysis, impact assessment, testing support, and stakeholder advisory. This position does not perform hands-on system configuration but ensures that business requirements are accurately translated for configuration and technical teams in alignment with Workday leading practices. Key Responsibilities: Work with HR, business, and project stakeholders to gather and document Core HCM requirements. Analyze current and future-state HR processes, including worker data, job changes, organization structures, supervisory structures, and lifecycle events. Assess the impact of proposed business or policy changes on Workday Core HCM processes, downstream modules, reports, security, and integrations. Develop functional documentation, test scenarios, user stories, and support UAT execution. Support release reviews by identifying potential business impact from Workday updates. Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Security, Reporting, Integrations, Payroll, and Talent. Key Impact: This role enables the organization to understand how changes in Core HCM affect upstream and downstream processes, business operations, compliance, reporting, and user experience. The consultant reduces delivery risk by identifying process and operational impacts early, improving requirement quality, and supporting smoother execution by configuration and technical teams. Required Experience and Skills: Strong understanding of Workday Core HCM business processes and data model. Good knowledge of HR operations and employee lifecycle processes. Experience in business analysis, requirements documentation, and impact assessment. Ability to translate business needs into structured functional requirements. Strong stakeholder communication, workshop facilitation, and documentation skills. Experience supporting testing, defect triage, and release assessments. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience supporting Workday Core HCM implementations, enhancements, or AMS engagements is preferred. Exposure to cross-functional areas such as Security, Reporting, Payroll, or Integrations would be advantageous. 2. Job Title: Technical Consultant – Workday Integration Consultant Role Purpose: The Technical Consultant – Workday Integration Consultant is responsible for designing, building, testing, and supporting integrations between Workday and internal or external enterprise systems. This is a hands-on technical development role focused on integration architecture, interface development, troubleshooting, deployment, and ongoing support across the Workday ecosystem. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, APIs, and web services. Analyze technical and business requirements and convert them into scalable integration solutions. Develop inbound and outbound interfaces for Workday HCM and related third-party platforms. Perform unit testing, integration testing, defect resolution, and deployment support. Troubleshoot data, transformation, authentication, and interface issues. Create technical design documents, mapping documents, and support runbooks.

Skill Requirements
Required Experience and Skills:

Hands-on experience in Workday integration development.

Strong knowledge of Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connector, REST/SOAP APIs, XSLT, and XML.

Understanding of Workday business objects, calculated fields, and security concepts.

Experience with end-to-end development lifecycle including design, build, test, and support.

Strong troubleshooting, technical documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

Experience with migration, deployment, and post-production support activities.
Other Requirements
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working across Workday HCM integrations in complex enterprise environments and familiarity with deployment, release management, and production support processes would be beneficial.
