Senior Functional Tester

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Salesforce Tester to design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test strategies that ensure the quality, stability, and performance of Salesforce solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Salesforce functional testing, integration testing, and release validation across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Agentforce and custom Salesforce applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Salesforce applications.

• Validate Salesforce configurations, customizations, workflows, flows, validations, reports, dashboards, and Apex components.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing for Salesforce releases.

• Ensure quality and stability of Salesforce solutions by identifying defects early and validating fixes thoroughly.

• Execute API and integration testing involving Salesforce and third-party systems.

• Log, track, and manage defects using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

• Collaborate closely with Salesforce Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Release Managers.

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release readiness activities.

• Support data validation and migration testing using Salesforce Data Loader or equivalent tools.

• Contribute to test automation initiatives using tools such as Selenium, Provar, or equivalent (if applicable).

• Ensure compliance with Salesforce best practices and organizational quality standards.

• Prepare test execution reports, defect metrics, and release sign-off documentation.

Skill Requirements

• Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and core components.

• Hands-on experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and custom Salesforce objects.

• Proven experience in designing and executing manual test cases for Salesforce applications.

• Knowledge of Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC) from a testing perspective.

• Experience with integration testing (REST/SOAP APIs).

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Experience using test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Test Rail).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Other Requirements

• Experience with Salesforce test automation tools (Provar, Selenium, Copado Robotic Testing).

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Salesforce deployment tools (Copado, Gearset, SFDX).

• Salesforce certifications such as:

Salesforce Administrator

• Salesforce Platform App Builder

• Salesforce Accredited Professional – Quality Assurance (preferred)
