Lead the team in designing, developing, and implementing scalable and secure applications on gcp 2. Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs 3. Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines in gcp application development 4. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in gcp applications, ensuring high performance and reliability 5. Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning Skill Requirements: 1. Proficiency in google cloud platform (gcp) services and tools such as compute engine, app engine, cloud storage, bigquery, and cloud functions 2. Strong experience in programming languages like java, python, or node.js for gcp application development 3. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as docker and kubernetes in the context of gcp 4. Experience with gcp data solutions including bigtable, datastore, and pub/sub 5. Familiarity with gcp networking, iam, and security principles for developing secure and robust applications on gcp 6. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast paced environment< Other Requirements: 1.Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, or Google Cloud Professional Developer certifications are a plus Looking for an engineer with 6–8 years of experience in Cloud / Data Platform / DevOps / Managed Services operations with 3–5 years in people management / technical lead role, handling: 24/7 support models On‑call rotations Incident escalations (P0/P1) SLA/SLO ownership Primary Skill: Coverage on Data engineering, TQL, Java UDFs, GCP, custom striim Platform, Oracle, DevOps for deployment & support.

Secondary Skills:

• Support Pay Pal’s cloud modernization initiative by migrating on prem workloads and data to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Provide DevOps and Managed Services for cloud data pipelines and platforms under Pay Pal engineering oversight • Perform 24/7 monitoring of platforms and pipelines across Dev, Pre Prod, and Production environments • Manage incident response including alert triage, runbook execution, and escalation for P0–P2 issues • Execute pipeline updates and change management, including testing, validation, and environment promotions • Ensure production readiness through lag validation, throughput testing, and data integrity checks • Operate and maintain Striim platform infrastructure on GCP, including deployments, scaling, patching, and break fix support • Perform pipeline scoped performance tuning for target systems such as Spanner, Bigtable, Cloud SQL, and AlloyDB • Build and maintain observability dashboards and track KPIs like lag, throughput, error rates, and platform health • Maintain operational documentation (SOPs, runbooks) and participate in incident reviews and post mortems Certifications: Mandatory: Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer (ACE) certification Preferred (Not Mandatory): Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer Data and pipeline‑oriented certifications
