Senior Technical Lead

Job Summary

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop reusable terraform modules that meets Optum security standards.

• Design and develop re-usable GitHub actions and workflows that enable product teams to deploy their application to cloud platforms in an efficient, safe and secure manner meeting Optum security standards.

• Develop Architecture diagrams for specific cloud service that follows all the industry as well as Optum best practices and incorporates well architected Framework principals.

• Manage Azure, AWS, and GCP cloud accounts monitor them for security and vulnerabilities and address any issues promptly.

• Provide guidance to product teams to develop cloud native solutions as per Optum standards.

• Provide guidance to users to migrate their solutions from on-prem to cloud platforms.

• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of all deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Expert cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, GCP – Working experience in 2/3 cloud platforms mandatory.

• Expert in developing reusable terraform modules – Working experience with terraform modules mandatory.

• Expert in developing Github actions and workflows.

• Expert in developing architecture diagrams for cloud services – both cloud agnostic as well as cloud specific.

• Good hands-on experience in using AI tools like copilot, Open AI models etc..

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience with additional cloud platforms and web development tools.

Knowledge of the latest trends and advancements in cloud, terraform, deployment, AI tools.

Key Responsibilities

1. To be responsible for providing technical guidance to a team of developers, enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.

2. To conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization , implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.

3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).

4. To collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and accordingly prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure & closure of escalations.
