Technical lead - DevOps, Python, Kubernetes

Job Summary

Our team at Google is hiring a highly motivated junior/mid DevOps Engineer (1-2 years of experience) to join us and contribute to a leading SOAR platform.
You will work closely with the Google Sec Ops engineering team within a high-impact, production cloud environment.

This role is outsourced through our vendor and is not a direct employment position with Google.

Key Responsibilities

Focus on GCP Production:

Your primary responsibility will be to maintain, scale, and automate the critical GCP infrastructure that runs our automated security response platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Automation: Develop and maintain robust Python scripts and SOAR playbooks for security workflow automation and infrastructure tasks.
GCP Infrastructure: Provision and manage core services using Terraform, focusing on compute, networking, and data storage components (e.g., GKE, Cloud SQL).
Containerization & Orchestration: Support the deployment and scaling of services using Docker and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
CI/CD: Build and secure CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Cloud Build) to ensure rapid, reliable, and compliant code delivery.
Observability: Implement and manage monitoring and logging (Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging) to ensure platform health and security compliance.
Impact: Secure critical systems using modern cloud technology.

Skill Requirements

Cloud: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
IaC: Practical experience with Terraform.
Scripting: Proficiency in Python for automation.
DevOps: Experience with Docker, basic Kubernetes (K8s) concepts, and CI/CD tools.
