Job Summary

Overall Role Positioning

• Acts as the technical authority for Oracle Xstore POS within the program delivery framework

• Ensures alignment with global POS template while enabling rollout across different regions

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design Ownership

• Define end-to-end architecture for Oracle Xstore POS across retail store environments

• Align solutions with global template and reference store models delivered by Oracle Consulting

• Design scalable, reusable, and standardized POS solutions to support multi-country rollout

• Provide architecture for store systems including POS terminals, self-checkout, mobility, and hybrid retail formats

Skill Requirements

Oracle Xstore & Integration Expertise

• Lead design of integrations between Oracle Xstore and enterprise systems such as SAP, Salesforce, and payment platforms

• Define API strategy, extension framework, and customization approach aligned with best practices

• Ensure seamless integration with store peripherals including payment devices, scanners, printers, and other hardware

• Support localization requirements including fiscal, regulatory, and country-specific compliance needs

Multi-Country Rollout Enablement

• Ensure architecture supports rollout different regions

• Adapt solutions to local country requirements while maintaining global standardization

• Enable repeatable deployment models to accelerate rollout across multiple locations

• Support rollout industrialization through automation and reusable components

Technical Governance & Standards

• Establish architecture standards, design guidelines, and best practices for Oracle Xstore implementation

• Ensure adherence to enterprise security, compliance, and performance requirements

• Align with governance model under Strategic Portfolio Management while collaborating with technical ownership teams

• Review and validate architecture decisions across vendors and delivery teams

Collaboration & Ecosystem Alignment

• Collaborate closely to align with global template, reference stores, and rollout approach

• Work with business analysts, developers, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure solution alignment

• Provide clear technical direction across multi-vendor teams and ensure defined ownership boundaries

• Participate in design workshops, solution reviews, and technical decision forums

Risk, Dependency & Performance Management

• Identify technical risks related to integrations, infrastructure, scalability, and rollout complexity

• Manage dependencies across Oracle template delivery, rollout waves, and multi-vendor components

• Define mitigation strategies for performance, reliability, and deployment risks

• Support issue resolution and escalation during implementation and rollout

Deployment & Store Environment Strategy

• Define environment strategy including development, SIT, UAT, and production environments

• Support store-level deployment including POS setup, Linux-based environments, and device configuration

• Enable automation and zero-touch deployment strategies for POS rollout

• Contribute to rollout planning, cutover strategy, and hypercare stabilization
