Ab Initio SME

Role Summary

Design and optimize high-volume, low-latency Ab Initio solutions with focus on scalability, performance, governance, and modernization for cloud-native ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Architect Ab Initio graphs using appropriate partitioning and multi-file systems.

• Implement complex transformations and reusable frameworks.

• Tune resource allocation and optimize throughput/latency.

• Leverage Co>Operating System, EME, and Conduct>It effectively.

• Enforce governance with proper metadata and lineage management.

• Integrate Ab Initio workloads with cloud platforms and modern data warehouses.

• Define migration strategies and modernization best practices.

• Build robust error handling, retries, and idempotency flows.

• Implement DQ checks and monitoring.

• Lead incident analysis, performance tuning, and mentoring.

Requirements (Updated & Relevant)

• Deep expertise with Ab Initio toolset; UNIX, SQL, and shell scripting.

• Experience with high-throughput system tuning and enterprise-grade operations.

• Understanding of cloud integration patterns and migration approaches.

Experience

7–12+ years in Ab Initio.

1. To bridge the gap between client needs and business goals by gathering requirements, crafting innovative solutions with deep domain/technology expertise, and driving successful implementations that propel strategic initiatives.

To spearhead the architecture, design, and development (through a high-performing team) of innovative solutions for product/project & sustenance delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

1. To ensure knowledge up-gradation and work with new technologies so that the solution is current and meets quality standards and the client requirements

2. To review architecture and design deliverables and ensure solutions adhere to industry best practices ,architectural standards simultaneously establish and enforce governance /compliance measures.

3. To train and develop team so as to ensure that there is an adequate supply of trained manpower in the said technology and delivery risks are mitigated
