Job Summary

Agentic AI & Automation – Network (L2) Job Description Role Summary The L2 Agentic AI & Automation – Network Engineer is responsible for managing and optimizing network operations through AI-driven monitoring, automation, and orchestration. The role focuses on intelligent event correlation, proactive issue resolution, automation of repetitive tasks, and continuous service improvement across network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities • Perform L2 network monitoring, incident analysis, and troubleshooting using AI-driven observability platforms • Leverage agentic AI capabilities for autonomous event correlation, anomaly detection, and predictive insights • Design, implement, and maintain automation scripts/workflows for network operations (e.g., incident response, remediation, patching) • Analyze complex network events and collaborate with L3 teams for deep issue resolution • Optimize alert thresholds and reduce noise through intelligent filtering and automation • Ensure SLA/KPI adherence (MTTD, MTTA, MTTR) through proactive monitoring and automation • Integrate monitoring tools with ITSM platforms (Service Now, Remedy) for automated ticketing and closure • Support root cause analysis (RCA) and drive automation-led preventive solutions • Develop and maintain runbooks, playbooks, and SOPs for automated operations • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement (CIP/SIP) through AI and automation adoption Required Skills • Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, DNS, VPN) • Hands-on experience in network monitoring tools and observability platforms • Exposure to AI/ML-based monitoring (AIOps, event correlation engines) • Scripting/programming skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) • Experience with automation/orchestration tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.) • Good understanding of ITIL processes (Event, Incident, Problem Management) • Experience with ITSM tools (Service Now, Remedy) • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field • Certifications: CCNA/CCNP, ITIL Foundation or higher • Experience in AIOps or intelligent automation platforms • Exposure to cloud networking (Azure, AWS) and SD-WAN concepts • Experience in NOC/SOC 24x7 environment Key KPIs • Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) • Mean Time to Acknowledge (MTTA) • Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR) • Automation coverage (%) of network operations • Reduction in manual interventions • Alert noise reduction (%) • SLA adherence for incidents Tools & Technologies • Monitoring & AIOps: Dynatrace, Splunk, Moogsoft, Azure Monitor, Grafana • Automation: Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Terraform • ITSM: Service Now, Remedy • Networking: Cisco, Juniper, SD-WAN platforms • Collaboration: MS Teams, Incident Bridge Tools
