Job Summary

Owns vulnerability remediation across IBM Web Sphere Application Server. Version-sensitive patching with significant application-owner coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute Web Sphere fix-pack and i Fix application across the estate.
• Manage Network Deployment cells, clusters and HA configurations during patching.
• Coordinate with application owners on validation cycles.
• Align JDK upgrades and dependent middleware library patching.
• Maintain runbooks; feed Phase 2 automation candidates.

Skill Requirements

• Deep Web Sphere ND administration: cells, clusters, deployment manager, nodes.
• Web Sphere fix-pack and i Fix workflow.
• JVM tuning and JDK alignment.
• Hands-on wsadmin scripting.

Other Requirements

• IBM Certified System Administrator — Web Sphere.
• Experience with Web Sphere Liberty.
• Scripting with Ansible or Jython.
