Senior Engineer - Azure Active Directory

Job Summary

: AD On‑Prem, Entra ID & DFS Technical Engineer (L1) The AD On‑Prem, Entra ID & DFS Technical Engineer (L1) is responsible for providing first‑level operational support for enterprise identity and directory services within a hybrid environment. The role focuses on day‑to‑day support, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Active Directory (On‑Prem), Microsoft Entra ID, and Distributed File System (DFS), ensuring system availability, performance, and adherence to defined standards. This position handles routine incidents and service requests related to user and group management, authentication, access control, Group Policy deployment, and identity‑related issues such as MFA, SSO, and conditional access. The role supports hybrid identity integrations between on‑prem Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID and assists in maintaining the health of domain controllers, DNS, DHCP, and DFS services. In addition to operational support, the engineer follows established SOPs, contributes to documentation and knowledge articles, and supports maintenance activities such as provisioning, de‑provisioning, and access reviews. The role requires strong foundational knowledge of IAM concepts, effective communication skills, and a willingness to learn and grow within a global support environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Knowledge on Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, Group policy management, Monitoring and Reporting, and Microsoft Entra ID • Understanding on AD Administration and Hybrid AD environment • Understanding for Domain Controllers, Health Monitoring, and troubleshooting issues related to on-prem AD environment.
• Understanding on Group Policy Deployment • Experience working on user and group management and conditional access policies.
• Assist with issues related to Entra ID, including account access, MFA, and SSO.
• Experience on maintenance tasks, such as user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access reviews.
• Follow the SOPs and Support for daily incidents related to Hybrid AD environment.
• Understanding of IAM concepts, including SSO, MFA, conditional access, and identity governance.
• Understanding on Microsoft Entra ID Connect, Microsoft Entra ID B2B, and Microsoft Entra ID B2C.
• Knowledge of implementing and managing security measures, such as conditional access policies and identity protection.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with users, stakeholders, and team members.
• Ability to provide inputs on documentation, user manuals, and knowledge base articles. Qualification
• B-Tech or any equivalent bachelor’s degree
