SME - Azure DevOps, Terraform

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Administrator to support the Polaris account. This role will be responsible for managing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, and enabling efficient development and deployment practices across hybrid and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with DevOps tools, cloud platforms, and infrastructure automation.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline build, deployment, and release processes • Maintain and optimize DevOps toolchain (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab) • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Ansible • Support cloud environments (Azure preferred) including deployments, monitoring, and performance tuning • Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to enable continuous integration and delivery practices • Monitor application and infrastructure health using tools like Azure Monitor, App Insights, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar • Troubleshoot build, deployment, and runtime issues ensuring minimal downtime • Implement security best practices including secrets management, access controls, and vulnerability remediation • Manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS preferred) • Ensure proper version control and branching strategies are followed • Support release management activities and production deployments Document processes, configurations, and SOPs for operational efficiency

Skill Requirements

5+ years of experience in DevOps / System Administration / Cloud Engineering • Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud platform (VMs, networking, storage, IAM, etc.) • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / ARM / Ansible) • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS) • Good understanding of Linux/Windows administration • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python • Experience with monitoring and logging tools • Knowledge of networking basics, security, and access management • Familiarity with ITIL processes and change/release management

Other Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent experience required • Strong Experience with CI/CD practices and IaC • 5 years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) • 5 years of experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub, Terraform) • Experience managing Azure services
• Azure APIM, App Services, Function Apps, Service Bus, Storage accounts is a plus • Experience administering application servers, such as IIS • Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell is a plus • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing • Ability to work independently and as a member of an international team
