Job Summary

Moogsoft Engineer / AIOps Specialist Role Summary Moogsoft Engineer is responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining the Moogsoft AIOps platform to enhance event correlation, incident detection, root-cause analysis, and automation across IT operations. The role involves integrating Moogsoft with monitoring tools and ITSM systems, optimizing alert noise reduction, and enabling operational intelligence for IT and DevOps teams. ✅ Key Responsibilities 1. Moogsoft Platform Implementation & Configuration Lead end-to-end implementation and configuration of Moogsoft AIOps platform. Design and deploy correlation capabilities and data models to support process/data integration. Set up event ingestion pipelines, correlation policies, noise reduction rules, deduplication, and situation rooms. 2. Integrations & Ecosystem Management Integrate Moogsoft with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.). Integrate with ITSM systems, especially Service Now for ticketing automation and CMDB updates. Build and maintain system interfaces, APIs, and automated workflows. 3. Operations, Monitoring & Troubleshooting Ensure Moogsoft performance aligns with baseline benchmarks. Conduct platform health checks, upgrades, and tuning for optimal performance. Troubleshoot issues related to ingestion, correlation logic, automations, or integrations. 4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Support Work with infrastructure, DevOps, application, and monitoring teams to define AIOps use cases. Provide technical documentation, training, and best practices for Moogsoft utilization. ✅ Required Skills & Experience. Technical Requirements 4+ years’ experience with monitoring tools and Moogsoft + Service Now integration. Strong understanding of AIOps concepts: event correlation, noise reduction, RCA, anomaly detection. Experience with observability platforms: Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana. Scripting skills (Python, Shell, Groovy) for automation. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Understanding containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). Preferred Skills Moogsoft Certification (nice to have). ITIL framework expertise for incident, change, and problem management. Familiarity with messaging systems (RabbitMQ), in-memory platforms (Hazelcast), MySQL databases. Soft Skills Strong communication, analytical skills, and stakeholder management. Ability to operate independently and within cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure Timely Resolution And Quality Compliance Of Escalated Tickets And Incidents By Leveraging Jenkins And Powershell To Automate Workflows And Streamline Processes In Accordance With Sla Requirements.

  2. Mentor Team Members And Administrators In Best Practices For Using Ansible And Python, While Preparing Standard Operating Procedures (Sops) And Maintaining Comprehensive Documentation For Knowledge Sharing.

  3. Validate Change Order Implementation Plans And Human Error Compliance By Utilizing Powershell Scripts For Automation, And Actively Participate In Capacity Planning Discussions To Optimize Resource Allocation.

  4. Foster Positive Customer Feedback And Satisfaction By Engaging In Customer Meetings, Utilizing Effective Communication Skills To Understand And Address Issues Using Automation Tools.

  5. Validate And Present Analyses Such As Root Cause Analysis And Trend Analysis Using Python And Powershell, Facilitating Performance Improvement Discussions With Key Business Stakeholders.
