About the role
Job Summary
Manage software asset lifecycle including installation, allocation, and retirement • Maintain accurate software inventory across systems • Track software licenses and ensure compliance with agreements • Support reconciliation and validation of software asset and license data • Maintain software asset records in CMDB and ensure data integrity • Support incident, change, and request management with asset data linkage • Provide software asset and license data for audits and compliance requirements • Generate reports on license utilization and compliance status • Manage software provisioning requests and track license allocation • Coordinate with ITSM, application, and infrastructure teams
Key Responsibilities
The ITSM Process Manager L2 (Software Asset Management) is responsible for execution and governance support of Software Asset Management processes within a managed services environment. The role focuses on software lifecycle tracking, license compliance, and integration with ITSM processes while ensuring SLA adherence and audit readiness.
Skill Requirements
Experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) • Knowledge of license compliance and tracking • Understanding of ITIL ITSM processes • Familiarity with ITSM tools (Service Now preferred) • Basic understanding of enterprise software environments
