SME - Oracle Exadata, Oracle DB

Job Summary

Oracle RAC, ASM, Dataguard and Goldengate Administration:

• 8+ Years of experience in database architecture design, administration, migration, Integration Design, managing Oracle Dataguard, RAC, ASM, Goldengate.

• Experience working in Oracle databases on AWS/Azure/OCI will be added advantage.

• Should have Project Implementation, transition, transformation experience in Oracle Single instance, Oracle RAC with ASM and DR.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize, multitask and work with onshore and offshore team’s skills desired.

• Positive attitude, problem solving skills and self-initiative are must qualities.

• Oracle installation, configuration, administration of ASM, Cluster control.

• Experience with VLDB (Very Large Database) environments.

• Strong SQL skills including the ability to rewrite complex queries to improve performance.

• Should have Shell scripting skills.

• Extensive experience in Database Backup, restore and recovery.

• Extensive experience in Oracle DR build, configuration, and administration.

• Extensive experience in installation, configuration, agent deployment, and creating database monitoring alerts baseline in Oracle OEM 12c/13c.

• Experience creating installation scripts and procedures.

• Experience in Table partitioning, materialized views, and replication.

• Extensive experience in analyzing and applying Oracle patches.

• Extensive experience in database upgrade from 12c to 18c/19c including ASM, RAC.

• Database monitoring setup and integration of database alerts with ticketing tools.

• Database security enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle Exadata Administration

• Administration of Exadata Storage cells

• Exadata process like cellsrv, MS, RS

• Good knowledge of cellci, dcli and other Exadata specific utilities

• Startup and shutdown of Storage and compute nodes

• Exadata component monitoring and alert handling

• Database node/Cell node/Infiniband image upgrade.

• Follow up with Exadata hardware Product support on any disk replacement, upgrades and patching.

• Installing OEM agents on Exadata db nodes and enable monitoring for the same.

• Provide and implement performance tuning recommendations of all components in Exadata database machine.

• Generating exacheck, sundiag, and OS Wathcer report for performance issue in exadata.

• Resource management by using Exadata database feature.

• Experience in / mountpoint expansion in Exadata.

• Proactive health checkup of cell storage servers, switches on Exa machine.

• Experience in day-to-day issues in oracle Exadata cell nodes patching. Checking alerts and acting on it.

• Experience in working with Cell nodes and checking status of Physical disks with Cellcli cmds.
