Job Summary
Job Summary : The resource will be responsible for managing and maintaining Linux-based servers, ensuring system performance, reliability, and security across the IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities : Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu). Manage user accounts, permissions, and file systems. Configure and monitor services like Apache/Nginx, MySQL/PostgreSQL, and SSH. Automate tasks and processes using Bash, Python, or Ansible. Implement system updates, patches, and security configurations. Troubleshoot system and network issues using tools like journalctl, systemd, and tcpdump. Set up and manage containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, Prometheus, or Grafana. Ensure compliance with security standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001). Collaborate on backup strategies and disaster recovery planning.
Skill Requirements
Skill Requirement : Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3–5+ years of experience in Linux system administration. Strong understanding of Linux file systems, kernel parameters, and shell scripting. Experience with virtualization tools like KVM or VMware. Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef). Certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or Linux+ are a plus.
