Job Summary

ROLE SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced and driven Lead BI / Data Analytics Engineer to own Power BI development

and analytics practices across our Azure/Fabric platform. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you

will build dashboards and semantic models while mentoring BI developers and analysts. You will define

standards, enforce best practices, and serve as the technical bridge between business stakeholders and the data

engineering function.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Governance:

 Lead and oversee all Power BI and analytics development across the team.

 Define, document, and enforce best practices for report development, semantic modelling, DAX, and visual

design.

 Review and quality-assure dashboards, SQL queries, and semantic models delivered by the team.

 Provide mentorship, coaching, and day-to-day support to BI developers and analysts.

 Drive continuous improvement in analytics delivery, tooling, and team capability.

 Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align analytics roadmap with business priorities.

Hands-On Development

 Build and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards and semantic models.

 Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for large-scale analytics workloads.

 Develop complex DAX calculations and performance-optimized models.

 Own complex or high-priority reporting initiatives end-to-end.

 Ensure all work is documented, version-controlled, and adheres to standards.

Data Exploration & Analysis:

 Profile, explore, and validate datasets across the data lake and wider platform.

 Develop deep understanding of business data and domain context (e-commerce preferred).

 Act as subject matter expert for data structures, data quality, and analytical feasibility.

 Support business teams with complex queries and insights.

Data Engineering Collaboration (Secondary)

 Partner with engineering teams on pipelines, data architecture, and platform optimization.

 Understand end-to-end data flows from source ingestion to the reporting layer.

 Contribute to performance tuning and data availability improvements.

 Advise on modelling approaches for scalable analytics.

Power Platform Development & Enablement:

 Design and develop Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and Dataflows.

 Build automated workflows integrated with Power BI and enterprise data sources.

 Advocate for Power Platform adoption, governance, and best practices.

 Ensure all solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable.

Key Responsibilities

1. To be responsible for providing technical guidance to a team of developers, enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.

2. To conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization , implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.

3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).

4. To collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and accordingly prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure & closure of escalations.
